Mixed-Use Jacksonville Landing Redesign-Andrew's Agora
The Jacksonville Landing Redesign project is a innovative project created by LEGO and Ace Hardware that challenges students of any kind to do a certain project they created. For 2017 they created a project where you redesigned the Jacksonville Landing. Undertaking the project was a huge step in itself, through lots of our own time, we got it done. We chose groups of three and worked efficiently for 2 months until we finished the project in whole. During this project we got three different roles, Project Manager, Architect and Engineer. I was the project manager; my role was to look over the project as a whole, keep my team on track with our deadlines, and do my own personal work as well.
Veterans Village Program
Veterans village program was an individual project where we created housing area for veterans who have come out of the VRC, a non-profit organization that works to help veterans that have struggled with homelessness, drug addiction, and alcohol abuse. In our veterans village area we are in a space that is big enough for 50 tiny houses that are no bigger than 200 sq. Ft that the veterans themselves get to keep and take care of free of charge. In the area we also have to have a walk-ability score of over 50 so the veterans don't need to walk far for anything they need, like groceries, food or local activities. Below are some concepts I've designed for the village on a 16 acre plot of land
